The Aussies confirmed their place in the world test championship final 2025 again with South Africa. On Sunday, January 5th, Australia demolishes India in the last test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Under the captaincy of Pat Cummins, the Aussies broke the Indian team streak in BGT and won it after a decade.
In the fifth test match, Australia chased down the target of 162 with 6 wickets in hand and booked their tickets for Lords. Meanwhile, South Africa already made their way to the WTC final after winning a close encounter with Pakistan in the Boxing Day Test match.
