AB De Villiers holds the record for fastest 50 in one-day internationals. The owner of 360-degree shots performed this miracle in 2015 at Johannesburg against the West Indies. He completed his half-century on just 16 balls, scoring 149 runs on 44 deliveries.

He crossed 50 runs in 16 deliveries, he also made a record of the fastest hundred in that game on 31 balls only. He hits 16 sixes in that knock.

2-Sanath Jayasuriya(17 Balls)

Left left-handed all-rounder of Sri Lanka is a very attacking top-order batsman. He always tries to finish the game as quickly as possible. In 1996 while faced off against Pakistan in the final. Jayasuriya starts destroying opponents’ bowling. He smashed 76 runs in 28 balls while completing his half-century in 17 deliveries.

On the biggest of one-day format, retired Kiwi player Brendon McCullum achieved this unmated record. In the 2015 World Cup group-stage game between New Zealand and England. Kiwi collapsed opponents on 123 runs. In 2nd innings, the Kiwi captain struck hard and completed his 50 on 18 deliveries which is the fastest 50 in the ODI World Cup.
