From January 9, the SA20 2025 will begin with an opening game between MI Cape Town and Sunrises Eastern Cape. This league was organized by South Africa for the first time in 2023. Sunrises are the winners of the last two seasons.

Six teams participate in the league. The t20 franchise cricket is scheduled in a round-robin format. The best four franchises in the SA20 table 2025 will qualify for the playoffs.
