Proteas Pace duo destroy Australian batting line-up at Lord’s in the WTC final. KG Rabada and tall guy Jansen restrict the Aussies at a score of 212 on the opening day. Both Pacers together took Eight wickets for South Africa.

 

After the roll of the coin in Protea’s favour, skipper Temba Bavuma elected to attack the opposition with the ball in the cloudy conditions. Kagiso delivered an amazing opening spell for the team and sent back Khawaja and Green in the seventh over.

 

Right arm pacer took an important wicket of set batter Beau Webster on the score of 72. Rabada in his last spell picked back-to-back wickets of captain Cummins and Starc. Rabada’s magic with the ball stops Australia from reaching the high score.

 

New Achievements

 

After the five-wicket haul, Rabada crossed the 50+ mark of wickets in WTC 2023-25. Rabada over Allan Donald’s Record of 330 wickets and became the fourth-highest wicket-taker for South Africa in the Red ball by dismissing 332 batters.
