The US official 20-over franchise league is in its third year. The tournament was first organized in 2023 where six different teams faced off. Similar to the past editions, six franchises are led by the T20 stars, including Nicholas Pooran, former Kiwi all-rounder Corey Anderson, and Glenn Maxwell.
The registered List-A category tournament is held in June and July at three venues. The number of games is added up in 2025 as compared to the last season. This time 34 matches are scheduled. The first 30 matches are played in a round-robin format, and then the top four teams battle in the playoffs.
The finalists of the Major League Cricket 2024, Washington Freedom, and San Francisco Unicorns will kick off the league with the same energy. The opening season champion MI New York will get an opportunity in the second match. The MLC 2025 edition final will take place at Grand Prairie (Dallas).

In Major League Cricket out of six, four of the teams are managed by IPL franchise owners. It involves MI New York, Los Angeles Knight Riders, Seattle Orcas & Texas Super Kings.
