Islamabad United are the latest PSL winners. In the nine seasons, six franchises become theĀ PSL all season winners . It is the prominent t20 event in Pakistan managed by their Cricket Board. Its primary purpose is to provide space for local youngsters to show their skill level in competition with international players.
In 2016, PCB took the initiative to start this tournament with the contribution of the UAE. In the first edition, Islamabad United lifted the PSL trophy by defeating Quetta Gladiators. In the opening season five teams participated, but in 2018, a new franchise, Multan Sultans, was introduced.
Islamabad is the most successful team in the history of the Pakistan Super League. They won 3 titles, While Lahore Qalandars is the only franchise to lift the cup 2 times continuously. The other team Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings, and Multan Sultans won it once time.

Lahore Qalandars are the winners of Pakistan Super League 2025.
PSL 2024 Winners – Islamabad United
In the PSL 9, Islamabad United holds the Pakistan Super League title most of the time by defeating Multan in the finals. In the close encounter, Multan Sultans put a target of 160 runs on the scorecard. The winning team chased the score on the last delivery of the match and won by 2 wickets.
In the final of the 2024 edition, Imad Wasim delivers his best for the team with a 5-wicket haul and not out 19* runs. In the whole tournament, their skipper Shadab Khan led from the front line with both bat and ball and was recognized as the player of the tournament.
PSL 2023 Winners – Lahore Qalandars
After lifting the PSL 8 trophy, Lahore Qalandars becomes the only franchise that defends their title. In the Pakistan Super League 2023, spectators enjoyed another nail-biting final. While batting first the champions of edition 8 put 200 runs on the board.
In the 2nd innings, Multan Sultans managed to score 199 runs and lost the final with a little margin. The defence of the trophy is only possible due to the outstanding performance of Shaheen Afridi. The captain dismissed 4 batsmen and played a cameo of 44* runs with a strike of 293.3.
PSL 2022 Winners – Lahore Qalandars
Qalandars enter their name for the first time in the PSL winners list in season 7. After getting defeated in the Qualifier match, Lahore single-handedly beat the Multan Sultans in the the final. First, they score a total of 180 runs then all out the opposition on 138 runs.
The experience of Mohammad Hafeez and the sharpness of Afridi’s captaincy give positive results in the final. Professor due to his all-round performance in both innings awarded as a man of the match. While Shaheen Afridi leads the chart of most wickets in the tournament.
PSL 2021 Winners – Multan Sultans
The sixth franchise of the PSL Multan Sultans won their first title in 2021 under Rizwan’s leadership. In the final game of the season, 6 Peshawar lost by 47 runs while chasing 207 runs target. In front of a huge total Zalmi batters can’t capitalize the big shots against the experience bowlers like Imran Tahir.
This massive total is courtesy of Rilee Rossouw & Shoaib Maqsood’s 98-run partnership. Shoaib’s continuous performance with bat in the tournament rewarded him as the player of the season. He was also awarded the Player of the Match award in the final.
PSL 2020 Winners – Karachi Kings
In the Pakistan Super League 5, Karachi Kings become the PSL winners. This edition is divided into two phases due to the worldwide attack of Covid-19. The second phase is held in Abu Dhabi. In the final Karachi defeated Qalandars by 5 wickets.
In a chase down of 135 runs, right-hander Babar Azam displayed his calmness on the pitch. He scored not out 63* runs in the final game and was announced as the man of the match or player of the tournament. This is the first time the Kings lift the cup.
PSL 2019 Winners – Quetta Gladiators
Gladiators after 2 consecutive failures in the finals changed their destiny in the PSL 4 final. Both Peshawar and Quetta again met in the finals after 2017. But this time Quetta opposite the last result and comfortably lift the trophy with 8 wickets in hand.
The pro batting line-up of Zalmi is restricted at the low total by Mohammad Hasnain. He dismisses the in form Kieron Pollard and Imam-ul-Haq. Ahmad Shahzad & Rilee Rossouw finished the match for the franchise to become the PSL winners for the first time.
PSL 2018 Winners – Islamabad United
The champions of PSL 2 Peshawar are defending their title in front of PSL 2 winners Islamabad. Under the light, Peshawar Zalmi batted in the 1st innings and hit 148 on the scorecard. But this score was not enough and they lost the final by 3 wickets.
In such critical conditions, United wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi provides a fiery start of 52 runs. This attack from the front supported them to complete the target in 17 overs. Ronchi became the player of the match in the final and also player of the season.
PSL 2017 Winners – Peshawar Zalmi
The Peshawar win their first Cup in the Pakistan Super League second edition. Under the captaincy of Darren Sammy, Zalmi moved to Lahore with last year’s runner-up Quetta. The Pakhtoons team defeated their opposition one-handedly by 58 runs.
This clear dominance in the final is due to Sammy carrying the team with his performances. Sammy’s knock of 28* runs in the big game changed the momentum towards their side. The highest scorer of the match Kamran Akmal is revealed as a player of the event.
PSL 2016 Winners – Islamabad United
Islamabad United is the first franchise to highlight itself in the PSL winners list. In the opening edition after unfavored results in starting games, Islamabad made their comeback heavily. They smashed Quetta in the final by six wickets.
In an exciting match, the Gladiators set a target of 175 to win. United batters Dr Smith & Brad Haddin gave a stand of 85 runs for the second wicket. The man of the match Smith hit 73 runs by smashing 4 sixes in the final. Islamabad becomes the first PSL Winner.
