1-Sawai Mansingh Stadium
In the state of Rajasthan, Mansingh Stadium is located in Jaipur city. It witnessed many records like Virat’s fastest one-day century in 2013. It is the smallest cricket stadium in India by boundary. Its length is just about 137 meters.
Now, this stadium hosts IPL games for the home team Rajasthan Royals. This venue organized the 1996 ODI World Cup & 2006/7 Champions Trophy matches. The last international match was hosted by this stadium in 2021.
2-Nehru Stadium
In the list of India’s smallest cricket stadiums Nehru Stadium is only multi-purpose venue. It was constructed in 1996 in honour of Ex-PM Jawaharlal Nehru and has a capacity of 40,000. It is located near the sea view in Kochi.
This venue is utilized as the home stadium for Kerala Blasters in the Indian Football League. Currently, soccer games are mostly hosted by this park compared to cricket. The last international game was played at this stadium in 2014.
3-Green Park Stadium
Green Park is one of the historic venues in India. Since 1945, it has given many records to the cricketing world. This venue witnessed India’s first red ball win against the Aussies in 1959.
It is situated in Kanpur containing seats of 18,000 under a distance of 150meter. It is currently an active venue where BCCI organizes Test matches and ODI matches.
4-Lalbhai Contractor Stadium
From a seating perspective, it is the smallest cricket stadium in India. The venue which was established in 1996 just contains a capacity of 7,000 fans. It is situated in Surat city in Gujrat.
It is constructed in an area of about 150 meters. It is utilized in organizing domestic-level games & local 20-over leagues.
5-Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium
This venue is called Vizag, The smallest cricket stadium in India Andhra Pradesh is located in Visakhapatnam. It was established at the start of the 21st century. It contains 27,500 seats for the cricket fans.
It is considered one of the good venues for all-formats international games. Its outfield is very effective for the batting, the highest total at this venue is 387 in ODI’s.
